Daniel V. Santiago was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1970. He was raised in St. Louis by his parents, Dr. Julio V. Santiago and Anna E. Santiago, both of whom provided him with the best possible examples of treating everyone with respect and good humor.

Mr. Santiago attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he double-majored in Economics and Political Science in 1993. Subsequently, he attended The University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan – a top 10 law school — where he earned his J.D. in 1996.

Before establishing the Law Offices of Daniel V. Santiago, P.C., Mr. Santiago practiced law for 10 years with Kaplan, Massamillo & Andrews, LLC, one of the leading aviation litigation firms in the world. Previously, he practiced law with the litigation departments of Sullivan, Hill, Lewin, Rez & Engel (“Sullivan Hill”) in San Diego, California and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (“Skadden Arps”) in San Diego, California. Sullivan Hill is a well-respected, mid-sized law firm in San Diego. Skadden Arps is one of the world’s largest law firms whose reputation in the national and international legal communities speaks for itself.

Mr. Santiago has extensive experience with a wide range of complex civil litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country. He is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Illinois (since 1996), State Bar of California (since 2000), State Bar of Florida (since 2010), U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (since 1997), U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (since 2001), U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida (since 2012), U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (since 2004) and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (since 2004). He has also been admitted to practice law on a pro hac vice basis in numerous state courts throughout Texas.
